Freshman year had its tough moments, but nothing has been as hard as all of these goodbyes.

Leaving Elle was possibly one of the worst things ever. I handed her the card I wrote for her. We hugged, and when I started to pull away, she wouldn’t let go. Then I started tearing up. I left before I could really start crying, but walked away on the verge. Then I got her text.
“So I just read your letter and literally bawled. That is the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me and those words will always be in my heart. You are such a beautiful person and I’m so lucky to have gotten to know you this year. Sigma is the best thing that ever happened to me because I met you. You are one of my best friends in the whole world and I will definitely be writing you a heart felt letter in response. I love you more than you know sweetie.”

100 Happy Days: Day 26

Dani is such a wonderful human. I’m so glad that I got to spend her last day in Boston with her, and I’m especially thankful that we ended up getting some alone time. She made me crepes and blue cake and kale chips! Then Dana came over. It was so so nice to see her. Me, Dani, Dana, and Karly all walked over to curry together and it was nice to be able to talk to Dana alone and catch up a little bit. She’s so great.

100 Happy Days: Day 25

Had a really nice goodbye brunch at Trident with some of my lovely 2013s. Also went to my officers/chairwomen meeting. Really cool to be complimented by Ashley and Andrea and to see kind of the behind the scenes of Sigma. I was worried about making a good impression as not only a 2013 but a freshman and I think I did pretty well!!

I’m done with freshman year classes… WHAT? HOW? Absolutely insane how fast this year went by! Today I spent a lot of time with Elif stalking cute rower boys and talking about Bid Day and Big/Little Reveal ideas! I’m so glad that we finally became better friends; she is Elle’s Big after all. And she’s pretty darn awesome.
